Virginia Dews Circle, May 11, 6:00 p.m. The Virginia Dews Circle will meet Monday night, May 11, at 6:00 p.m. in the library. Deborah will provide the devotion. Lei will present Lesson 9 “When You Are Walking with Jesus: The Road to Emmaus” from our PW workbook. Project is gift cards to Kroger, WalMart, or McDonald’s for the church office. Please join us.
Dorcas Circle, May 12, 10 a.m. The Dorcas Circle will meet on Tuesday, May 12, at 10 a.m. in the Arnold/Bates classroom. Mary Ann will do the devotion. Linda Lillie will present Lesson 8—”Remembering Jesus’ Baptism” from the workbook. Project: Feminine hygiene products for our Food Pantry.
Morning Glory Circle—May 17, 9:30 a.m. The Morning Glory Circle will meet on the third Sunday this month due to Mother’s Day being on the second Sunday. We will be on Lesson 7, “The Woman Who Was Bent Over” Carol Campbell will lead the Bible study.
Ladies’ Luncheon, May 9, 11 a.m. The theme for our Mother’s Day Brunch this year is “Lydia—with the color purple” Tickets for the luncheon will be $15 for Adults and $8 for 12 and under. Sign up sheet in the narthex or you may call the church office to give a count.
Graduate Sunday, May 17. We will celebrate with our High School Graduates, Aleyah Verdell and Tyrese Jenkins, on Sunday, May 17, during the worship service and afterward with a reception in the fellowship hall. Congratulations, Aleyah and Tyrese!
College Graduate? If you are graduating soon or have graduated recently from college, please share your pictures and information with the church office so that your church family may celebrate with you . You will be featured in the next newsletter.
Kid’s Club Volunteers Needed. We are currently looking for volunteers to help work with the children’s ministry ages 4 to 5th grade. This is a meaningful way to serve and support the next generation. If you’re interested, please contact Twarna Johnson @ 678-683-8030. We would love to have you join the team!
Presbyterian Women Collecting Pop Tabs. The PW will be collecting pop tabs again to support the Ronald McDonald House. The Ronald McDonald House is a place where parents can stay, free of charge, when their infant or child is in the Children’s Hospital. Dianne Hooten will be the contact for this project.
School Supplies Needed. We are collecting school supplies for Morrow Elementary - our Partner in Education school. Things like #2 pencils, permanent markers, colored pencils, crayons, glue sticks, composition books, and notebook paper. We are collecting now and throughout the year to support the school’s needs. There is a shopping cart in the narthex for the supplies.
Favorite Hymn or Worship Song? Do you have a favorite hymn or worship song you’d like to hear for the prelude or offertory? Or a special praise song from your home country? Your organist would like to know! There are request forms on the shelf behind the piano in the sanctuary. Please fill one out and put it in the box.
Food Pantry Volunteers Needed. We are in need of more volunteers to help out with our ministry here. We could use some folks to help out with our food delivery on Wednesdays and also on Thursday afternoon. We have other tasks like bagging food that can be done at any time, and we are very flexible. Even one day a month would be helpful. Please see David Turner if you are interested in helping out.
