Virginia Dews Circle, October 12, 6 p.m. The Virginia Dews Circle will meet Monday, October 12 at 6 p.m. in the fellowship hall. Lei Eason will present Lesson 3, “Freedom in Christ” from our workbook, “United Through Christ, Bound to Each Other.” Debbie will have the devotion. Our project is diapers. Please join us!
Dorcas Circle, October 13, 10 a.m. The Dorcas Circle will meet Tuesday, October 13, at 10 a.m. in the Arnold/Bates classroom. The lesson will be presented by Linda Lillie on Lesson 2 in our new book, “United Through Christ, Bound to Each Other.” Tricia will share a devotion. Their project will be diapers and feminine hygiene products for the food pantry.
Morning Glory Circle, October 18, 9:30 a.m. The Morning Glory Circle will meet on Sunday, October 18, at 9:30 a.m. in the Arnold/Bates Classroom. We will study Lesson 2 in our new book, “United Through Christ, Bound to Each Other.” Carol Campbell will lead us in our Bible study
Presbyterian Women’s General Meeting/Salad/Soup Lunch, October 25, 12:15 p.m. All women are invited to the PW General Meeting on October 25 following the worship service. We will be approving the 2027 Budget and the incoming PW Officers. Please bring your favorite salad or soup to share. ALL WOMEN OF THE CHURCH ARE INVITED!
Hymnfest, October 25, 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Morrow. The MPC Canterbury Choir will participate with other area churches in a hymnfest on October 25. This will be a service celebrating the hymns of the church. It will take place at First Baptist Church of Morrow, 1647 Lake Harbin Rd, Morrow.
PW Project for 2026 - Water Wells. MPC Women’s Mission for 2026 is to help to provide a deep rock well. A deep rock well taps into pure water sources hundreds of feet below ground, providing access to clean water even during drought and other extreme weather conditions. These sustainable wells serve communities in the most water-scarce regions of the world and are placed in areas where they can make the greatest impact and be maintained by trained community members. There is a red bucket placed in the hallway for your donations.
Pictorial Directory. The MPC pictorial directory is available. You may pick up a copy in the narthex.
Presbyterian Women Collecting Pop Tabs. The PW will be collecting pop tabs again to support the Ronald McDonald House. The Ronald McDonald House is a place where parents can stay, free of charge, when their infant or child is in the Children’s Hospital. Dianne Hooten will be the contact for this project.
Food Pantry Volunteers Needed. We are in need of more volunteers to help out with our ministry here. We could use some folks to help out with our food delivery on Wednesdays and also on Thursday afternoon. We have other tasks like bagging food that can be done at any time, and we are very flexible. Even one day a month would be helpful. Please see David Turner if you are interested in helping out.
