A Special Welcome to Michael Parker, Director of Music. Michael began June 1 as MPC’s new Director of Music. Michael has 15+ years of experience leading congregational worship and volunteer choral ministries. He is a member of ConcertPlus and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Choruses and has just started working with the Atlanta Boys Choir. Join us for a Meet & Greet in the fellowship hall following the worship service to help us welcome Michael to MPC. A special thank you to Bruce Campbell who has served as Interim.

Dorcas Circle, June 9, 10 a.m. The Dorcas Circle will meet on Tuesday, June 9, at 10 a.m. in the Arnold/Bates classroom. Sharon Goza will have the devotion and Audrey Sharpe will lead Lesson Nine, “When You are Walking with Jesus: The Road to Emmaus” of the study book, “Finding Resilience, Joy, and Our Identity in Jesus Christ.” The project is diapers sizes 4, 5, and 6 for the Food Pantry.
Morning Glory Circle—June 14, 9:30 a.m. The Morning Glory Circle will meet on Sunday morning, June 14, during the Sunday school hour. The lesson will be Lesson Eight “Remembering Jesus’ Baptism” in our book, “Finding Resilience, Joy, and Our Identity in Jesus Christ.” Carol Campbell will lead the study.
Father’s Day Breakfast, June 21, 9:30 a.m. Join us for breakfast on Sunday, June 21 during the Sunday school hour. The Presbyterian Women will provide the food to honor all of our men. Bring your family and enjoy the food and fellowship. Sign up sheet in the Narthex. You may also call in with your reservation. You don’t have to have a reservation to attend, but it will help with the planning of food and tables.
VBS SNOWBALL MOUNTAIN CHALLENGE is coming June 28-July 2. All ages are welcome!!! Please pre-register for classes by going to www.morrowpresbyterian.org and clicking on the VBS tab at the the top of the page. If you are willing to volunteer, please fill out the sign-up sheet in the Narthex. Take a break from the heat and come “chill” at VBS. Bring your friends!!
Kid’s Club Volunteers Needed. We are currently looking for volunteers to help work with the children’s ministry ages 4 to 5th grade. This is a meaningful way to serve and support the next generation. If you’re interested, please contact Twarna Johnson @ 678-683-8030. We would love to have you join the team!
Presbyterian Women Collecting Pop Tabs. The PW will be collecting pop tabs again to support the Ronald McDonald House. The Ronald McDonald House is a place where parents can stay, free of charge, when their infant or child is in the Children’s Hospital. Dianne Hooten will be the contact for this project.
School Supplies Needed. We are collecting school supplies for Morrow Elementary - our Partner in Education school. Things like #2 pencils, permanent markers, colored pencils, crayons, glue sticks, composition books, and notebook paper. We are collecting now and throughout the year to support the school’s needs. There is a shopping cart in the narthex for the supplies.
Favorite Hymn or Worship Song? Do you have a favorite hymn or worship song you’d like to hear for the prelude or offertory? Or a special praise song from your home country? Your organist would like to know! There are request forms on the shelf behind the piano in the sanctuary. Please fill one out and put it in the box.
Food Pantry Volunteers Needed. We are in need of more volunteers to help out with our ministry here. We could use some folks to help out with our food delivery on Wednesdays and also on Thursday afternoon. We have other tasks like bagging food that can be done at any time, and we are very flexible. Even one day a month would be helpful. Please see David Turner if you are interested in helping out.
