Young at Heart Lunch, June 3, Chili’s, 11:30 a.m. Please join the Young at Heart for their monthly lunch get together. They will meet at Chili’s in Morrow on Wednesday, June 3, at 11:30 a.m. Please let Bruce or Libby know you will be attending for seating. All are welcome!
Atlanta Food Bank Field Trip, June 6, 7:30 a.m. The Morning Glory Circle is planning a trip to volunteer at the Atlanta Food Bank on Saturday, June 6th for our appointment of 8:30 am. Our three-hour shift will include an orientation about the Atlanta Mission and the challenges of homelessness in our communities. Then we will help receive, sort, and organize the donations received by the food bank for their clients and thrift stores. We're excited to see this facility and help out in any way we can. We will meet at the church at 7:30 a.m. to carpool. See Tamara Callahan to sign up.
Father’s Day Breakfast, June 21, 9:30 a.m. Join us for breakfast on Sunday, June 21 during the Sunday school hour. The Presbyterian Women will provide the food to honor all of our men. Bring your family and enjoy the food and fellowship. Sign up sheet in the Narthex. You may also call in with your reservation. You don’t have to have a reservation to attend, but it will help with the planning of food and tables.
VBS SNOWBALL MOUNTAIN CHALLENGE is coming June 28-July 2. All ages are welcome!!! Please pre-register for classes by going to www.morrowpresbyterian.org and clicking on the VBS tab at the the top of the page. If you are willing to volunteer, please fill out the sign-up sheet in the Narthex. Take a break from the heat and come “chill” at VBS. Bring your friends!!
College Graduate? If you are graduating soon or have graduated recently from college, please share your pictures and information with the church office so that your church family may celebrate with you . You will be featured in the next newsletter.
Kid’s Club Volunteers Needed. We are currently looking for volunteers to help work with the children’s ministry ages 4 to 5th grade. This is a meaningful way to serve and support the next generation. If you’re interested, please contact Twarna Johnson @ 678-683-8030. We would love to have you join the team!
Presbyterian Women Collecting Pop Tabs. The PW will be collecting pop tabs again to support the Ronald McDonald House. The Ronald McDonald House is a place where parents can stay, free of charge, when their infant or child is in the Children’s Hospital. Dianne Hooten will be the contact for this project.
School Supplies Needed. We are collecting school supplies for Morrow Elementary - our Partner in Education school. Things like #2 pencils, permanent markers, colored pencils, crayons, glue sticks, composition books, and notebook paper. We are collecting now and throughout the year to support the school’s needs. There is a shopping cart in the narthex for the supplies.
Favorite Hymn or Worship Song? Do you have a favorite hymn or worship song you’d like to hear for the prelude or offertory? Or a special praise song from your home country? Your organist would like to know! There are request forms on the shelf behind the piano in the sanctuary. Please fill one out and put it in the box.
Food Pantry Volunteers Needed. We are in need of more volunteers to help out with our ministry here. We could use some folks to help out with our food delivery on Wednesdays and also on Thursday afternoon. We have other tasks like bagging food that can be done at any time, and we are very flexible. Even one day a month would be helpful. Please see David Turner if you are interested in helping out.
