Virginia Dews Circle, November 10, 6:00 p.m. Virginia Dews Circle will meet on Monday, November 10, at 6:00 p.m. at the church. Our lesson will be Lesson 3, “Jesus Is Tested” from our Bible study. Project will be Toys for Tots. Please join us for Bible study and fellowship.
Dorcas Circle, November 11, 10 a.m. The Dorcas Circle will meet on Tuesday, November 11, at 10 a.m. in the fellowship hall. Tricia Koehler will present Lesson 3 “Jesus Is Tested” from our workbook. Sharon Goza will do the devotion.Project for November is cookies or packaged foods for firemen and policemen of Morrow. The cookies should be wrapped in plastic wrap or placed in a baggie.
Morning Glory Circle, November 16, 9:30 a.m. The Morning Glory Circle will meet on Sunday, November 16 at 9:30 a.m. in the Arnold/Bates classroom. All women are invited to join the group. The current study is Lesson 2 from ”Finding Resilience, Joy, and Our Identity in Jesus Christ” Carol Campbell is our Bible Moderator.
Hanging of the Greens, November 23, 12:15 p.m. Please remain after worship on Sunday, November 23 to help us prepare the sanctuary for Christmas. It will be here before you know it. Help us deck the hall for the celebration of Jesus’ birth! Your help is needed!
Thanksgiving Dinner & Mini Service, November 23, 5:00 p.m. You are invited to our annual Thanksgiving Dinner and Service on Sunday, November 23 at 5:00 p.m. Enjoy sharing Thanksgiving with your church family. The Turners will cook the turkey, dressing, and dessert. Please bring a side dish to share. Please indicate how many members of your family plan to attend the dinner on the signup sheet in the narthex. A short service will take place in the fellowship hall at 5:45 p.m.
Toys for Tots—Deadline December 5. The Presbyterian Women are collecting for Toys for Tots again this year. Please bring new, unwrapped toys to the church by December 5 and place them in the sleigh outside of the library.
School Supplies Needed. We are collecting school supplies for Morrow Elementary - our Partner in Education school. Things like #2 pencils, permanent markers, colored pencils, crayons, glue sticks, composition books, and notebook paper. We are collecting now and throughout the year to support the school’s needs. There is a shopping cart in the narthex for the supplies.
Favorite Hymn or Worship Song? Do you have a favorite hymn or worship song you’d like to hear for the prelude or offertory? Or a special praise song from your home country? Your organist would like to know! There are request forms on the shelf behind the piano in the sanctuary. Please fill one out and put it in the box.
Heifer International. There are chicks, heifers, goats, sheep, pigs, water buffalo, and so much more waiting to go to good homes. For $120 you can gift a Dream Basket that includes a sheep, heifer, goat, rabbits and a flock of chicks, along with training and education in their care. Check out the board in the hallway near Noah’s Ark and see what you can find. You may also give money to the PW. Checks to MPC Women, earmarked Heifer International.
Food Pantry Volunteers Needed. We are in need of more volunteers to help out with our ministry here. We could use some folks to help out with our food delivery on Wednesdays and also on Thursday afternoon. We have other tasks like bagging food that can be done at any time, and we are very flexible. Even one day a month would be helpful. Please see David Turner if you are interested in helping out.
