Young at Heart Lunch, March 4, 11:30 a.m. You are invited to join the Young at Heart for their monthly lunch on Wednesday, March 4, 11:30 a.m. The group will meet at O’Charley’s in Stockbridge. Please let Bruce or Libby know if you will be attending.
Pictorial Directory. The church office is going to add pictures to our regular church directory. Please email a self or family picture to the church office (mpcsecretary@bellsouth.net). If it is easier to bring a picture into the office, I can scan it to my computer. The deadline is March 15.
Morning Glory Circle— March 8, 9:30 a.m. The Morning Glory Circle Bible Study is open to all women. The next meeting will be on Sunday, March 8 at 9:30 a.m. during the Sunday school hour. The group is on Lesson 5—The Gift of the Woman Who Was Poor of the Study Book “Finding Resilience, Joy, and Our Identity in Jesus Christ” Please read the chapter ahead of time if able.
Virginia Dews Circle, March 9, 6:00 p.m. The Virginia Dews Circle will meet at 6:00 p.m. on March 9 in the library. Lei Eason will present Lesson 7, “The Woman Who Was Bent Over.” Project is money for Gigi’s House.
Dorcas Circle, March 10, 10 a.m. The Dorcas Circle will meet on Tuesday, March 10 at 10 a.m. in the Arnold/Bates classroom. Tricia Koehler will provide the devotion. Anne Fordham will facilitate Lesson Six, “I Will Say It Again, Rejoice” in the study book, “Finding Resilience, Joy, and Our Identity in Jesus Christ.” Project: Diapers for the Food Pantry.
Church Work Day, March 21, 9 a.m.- 12 p.m. We will have a work day on Saturday, March 21 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m,. to clean up and prepare our building and grounds for Easter. If you have noticed something that needs attention, please mention it to Albert or Colin prior to the 21st. Please mark this date on your calendar to come and help your church family.
Ladies Luncheon, May 9, 11 a.m. The theme for our Ladies Luncheon this year is “Lydia” and the color is purple. If you would like to provide a table for the luncheon, please let Susie Grant know. She needs seven tables.
Kid’s Club Volunteers Needed. We are currently looking for volunteers to help work with the children’s ministry ages 4 to 5th grade. This is a meaningful way to serve and support the next generation. If you’re interested, please contact Twarna Johnson @ 678-683-8030. We would love to have you join the team!
Presbyterian Women Collecting Pop Tabs. The PW will be collecting pop tabs again to support the Ronald McDonald House. The Ronald McDonald House is a place where parents can stay, free of charge, when their infant or child is in the Children’s Hospital. Dianne Hooten will be the contact for this project.
School Supplies Needed. We are collecting school supplies for Morrow Elementary - our Partner in Education school. Things like #2 pencils, permanent markers, colored pencils, crayons, glue sticks, composition books, and notebook paper. We are collecting now and throughout the year to support the school’s needs. There is a shopping cart in the narthex for the supplies.
Favorite Hymn or Worship Song? Do you have a favorite hymn or worship song you’d like to hear for the prelude or offertory? Or a special praise song from your home country? Your organist would like to know! There are request forms on the shelf behind the piano in the sanctuary. Please fill one out and put it in the box.
Food Pantry Volunteers Needed. We are in need of more volunteers to help out with our ministry here. We could use some folks to help out with our food delivery on Wednesdays and also on Thursday afternoon. We have other tasks like bagging food that can be done at any time, and we are very flexible. Even one day a month would be helpful. Please see David Turner if you are interested in helping out.
