Memorial Service for Janis Campbell, September 7. The memorial service for Janis Campbell will be on Saturday, September 7. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. with the service following at 11 a.m. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to MPC and earmarked Choir/Music/Equipment. Please remember to keep the Campbells in your prayers.
Memorial Service for Doug Lozel, September 29, 2 p.m. Stephanie Lozel would like to extend the following invitation: “A Memorial Service will be held for Doug Lozel as planned by him and executed by me on Sunday, September 29, at 2:00pm at the Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites, Exit 228, 638 Highway 138, Stockbridge, GA. A menu (food) Doug requested will be served, so please let me know (slozel@comcast.net) if you plan to attend. It will be a very informal get-together and all are welcome. Doug taught for over 30 years in Clayton County Schools so I’m hoping that friends, colleagues and former students will have many memories to share.”
MPC Youth Ski Retreat, January 3-5, 2025. The MPC Youth are going skiing!! They will visit downtown Gatlinburg, ski, and spend time “retreating.” Payment dates are as follows: CURRENTLY - $50; September 29 - $50; October 27 - $50, and November 24 - remaining balance. Total: $200 (Lodging, Lift Ticket, and Ski Rental).
Food Pantry Volunteers Needed. We are in need of more volunteers to help out with our ministry here. We could use some folks to help out with our food delivery on Wednesdays and also on Thursday afternoon. We have other tasks like bagging food that can be done at any time, and we are very flexible. Even one day a month would be helpful. Please see David Turner if you are interested in helping out.
