Baby Shower for Matthew & Abbey Hooten, Sunday, October 20, 2 p.m. Andra Gammage & Libby McNair invite all of the women to a baby shower they are hosting for Matthew & Abbey Hooten at MPC in the fellowship hall TODAY at 2:00 p.m. The Hootens are expecting a baby boy (Milo) in December. Generosity Luncheon/Soup & Chili, October 27, 12:15 p.m. Join us for lunch next Sunday, October 27, following the worship service. The Administration/Stewardship Ministry Team will be showing their generosity by providing soup and chili for your enjoyment and nourishment. Our stewardship theme this year is “Generosity.”
Presbyterian Women’s General Meeting/Salad/Soup Lunch, November 3, 12:15 p.m. All women are invited to the PW General Meeting on November 3 following the worship service. We will be approving the 2025 Budget and the incoming PW Officers. Please bring your favorite salad or soup to share. ALL WOMEN OF THE CHURCH ARE INVITED!
Upcoming PW Installation, November 3 (NOTE NEW DATE), 11 a.m. The 2025 Presbyterian Women Officers will be installed during the worship service on Sunday, November 3.
Toys for Tots—Deadline December 3. The Presbyterian Women are collecting for Toys for Tots again this year. Please bring new, unwrapped toys to the church by December 3 and place them in the sleigh outside of the library.

MPC Youth Ski Retreat, January 3-5, 2025. The MPC Youth are going skiing!! They will visit downtown Gatlinburg, ski, and spend time “retreating.” Payment dates are as follows: CURRENTLY - $50; September 29 - $50; October 27 - $50, and November 24 - remaining balance. Total: $200 (Lodging, Lift Ticket, and Ski Rental).
Food Pantry Volunteers Needed. We are in need of more volunteers to help out with our ministry here. We could use some folks to help out with our food delivery on Wednesdays and also on Thursday afternoon. We have other tasks like bagging food that can be done at any time, and we are very flexible. Even one day a month would be helpful. Please see David Turner if you are interested in helping out.
